Polka Dot Begonia Tamaya
Also known as: Begonia maculata
Begonia Tamaya is a favourite among houseplant collectors because it's basically the Dalmatian of the plant world. One look at this plant and your friends will be asking for a cutting. This plant can grow quite big quite fast when living in bright indirect light and fed biweekly. The little purses that form (and initially look like horns are where the new leaves and branches emerge. Watch as they unfurl almost overnight and reveal a leathery almost transparent lace that quickly hardens into the signature spotty leaf.
Care: Bright indirect light, water when top inch of soil is dry, feed biweekly during growth season, 60% humidity is best and 19c+ for best results.
Note: Plants are living things and variation is to be expected (celebrated even). The plant you receive won't be exactly the same one as pictured, but we do everything possible to make sure it is representative and that you won't be disapointed. Heights are approximate and include the pot. Any pots or hands featured in the pictures aren't included.
